Commercial Due Diligence
Commercial Due Diligence for Fintech Investments in the DACH Region
Before you invest in a fintech with DACH business, you should know how robust its sales, pipeline, and market position really are. Aegiron Capital Group examines the commercial side — from the perspective of someone who sells in this market.

For Investors with DACH Exposure
Venture capital firms, private equity funds, and corporate investors evaluating fintech or SaaS targets with business in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland. The numbers show the past; whether the DACH sales engine holds up only becomes clear from the pipeline, customer voices, and the competition.
What We Assess
Six Building Blocks of Commercial Due Diligence
Pipeline and Customer Base
Quality of the pipeline, dependence on individual customers, contract terms, and churn and renewal rates — checked against the target’s documents.
Sales Organization and Process
How the target actually sells: team, outreach, cycle lengths, win rates, and dependence on individual people.
Partnerships and Channels
How robust the sales and technology partnerships are: who really brings business, and what happens if a partner drops out?
Competition and Positioning
Standing against the relevant competitors in the DACH region, price level, and the reasons customers buy or decline.
Purchasing Hurdles of Regulated Customers
What banks, payment providers, and other supervised buyers require of a vendor (outsourcing, DORA, security evidence) and how far along the target is. A commercial assessment, not a legal review.
Growth Plan and Assumptions
Plausibility of the DACH plan: market size, number of target accounts, sales capacity, and the assumptions behind the revenue targets.
